Homemade Valentine Wreaths

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

I had two girls home sick from school yesterday, so we decided to make these little valentine wreaths for their rooms. I folded two paper plates in half and cut a heart out of the center of each one. Then we cut out several shapes and sizes of hearts from red and pink cardstock. We then glued the hearts to the paper plates, added some bling and some hanging ribbon on the back and VOILA!

Craft: Valentine’s Day Rosette Frame

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

I hope you all had a verrrry Merry Christmas and a great New Year’s! Now on to Valentine’s Day, right? I made this fun frame with the inspiration and how-to from here and here. I bought the frame at the dollar store and the crepe paper for 50 cents. Then I removed the glass from the frame and cut some scrapbook paper to fit. I made my rosettes quite small. I double folded the crepe paper. Fun and festive!

Thanksgiving Craft: Making Turkeys

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

My awesome sister, Jessica, gave me this great idea. The kids loved designing their own “turkeys” with apples, marshmallows, froot loops, gumdrops, raisins, and candy corns. It’s so fun to see how they all turn out so different:

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

I tried making my own rosette headbands after seeing some in a store that I liked. They turned out really cute! (At least I think so. :) )

(click on any image to view larger)  Easter is such a fun time.  I love all of the egg coloring, fun candy, egg hunts and decorations.  Most of all though, I’m so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, whose resurrection we celebrate on this day.  I’m so very, very grateful for Him.
