Illustration Friday: Wrinkles

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

For this week’s entry of “Wrinkles,” I contemplated the fact that we seem to come into the world with them, and leave the world with them. There’s just no escaping them! So here is a greeting card I did a while back that can symbolize the first kind of wrinkles–Baby wrinkles. On a side note, my sister is going to be having a baby soon and she doesn’t know yet if it is a boy or a girl. Any favorite names anyone wants to share?

Spring Break: Oregon Coast

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

My “twin” sister and I at a beautiful freshwater waterfall flowing right into the salt water tide at Hug Point. (No one is hugging in the pic, however.)

More views of Hug Point. (No one is hugging in this pic, either.)

Cool tide cave at the beach. The kids loved this. We just hoped that no sneaker waves came while we were inside.

Look closely and you will see lots of peacocks wandering around the countryside. There were tons of them!

Here I am overlooking the fishing pond with my little one. :) My “curly” humidity hair.

We caught one! (We actually caught 14 rainbow trout that day and grilled them up for dinner. Delicious!)

Illustration Friday: Primitive

A tip of my hat to the “primitive” or former type of government used in this land. Too much of a stretch for this week’s topic? Hey, I’m no good at doodling cavemen, okay. 😉

I tried a day version and a night version of “Save” for IF. Which do you like better?

Mom & Dad’s Anniversary

Friday, April 4th, 2008

Happy anniversary, Mom & Dad. You’re the best ever. You’ve made the years great for me. Your obvious love for each other and us has been an amazing example to us kids.

The yellow tux is a tribute to an experience that caused my mom to create the wise saying “Never make a last minute decision to change the tuxedo jacket color.”

Paying homage to all the super moms out there–especially my own! :)
